This is a UI Design for MyCloudPlayer WebApp i did recently, actually it's a re-design since it was originally designed by its developers.

MyCloudPlayer is a helper WebApp for Soundcloud with a lot of nifty features like searching and playing music stored on Soundcloud, creating|sharing playlists, following users, joining groups and a lots of other cool features. If you are a Soundcloud user i recommend checking this one.

The design is great, apart from how cramped it seems .. I think if you used a simple colored line to separate each song it would make the whole layout far more user friendly ;)

I don't think it would be that easy. Fixing this chaos would take a lot more work. My approach was to display only one panel at a time (the dashboard), hide the current playlist panel by default and display a fixed toggle button on the left|right of the screen so users cans show|hide their playlists (with a nice slide animation). But the player was already designed,coded, up and running and the developers didn't wanted radical changes so ...

fair enough, but adding a spacer would not have been a radical change either graphically or coding wise ;)
